the feather and fan shawl is still draped over my playroom work today, where brownie the cat is continuing to take advantage of it's snuggle potential. i'm home with natasha today, who needed a pajama day. i was going to say that she's home clingy, not sick, just clingy, but that sounds a little mean. she's got a cough but i think she really needed a day home with her mama.
keeping my hands busy (more blue + orange):
not sure where i am going with this, but i couldn't get the shapes out of my head, nor that shade of orange. the felt came from a thrifted angora/lambswool sweater that i repurposed by handdyeing square pieces of it and then felting them.
and keeping my eyes busy with the anthropologie home catalogue that arrived today. so much pretty! there is a kitchen in there that i love so much, especially since it looks very attainable, like a room that i wouldn't be surprised to see in a (thrift-store loving) friend's home.
also, although so not within my personal realm of attainable, i love: these curtains (and really, all the yellow, and seeing so much in terms of buttery yellows and ochres paired with pale dove greys, like here) also, this shower curtain, which would be totally and completely perfect for my bathroom. this chair would be equally perfect in my living room. i don't think it was in the latest catalogue, but, man, it's so, so perfect. (and while we're on the subject of orla, i've been dreaming of the orla keily blossom wallpaper for some time now, too. sigh.
and somehow, i love the handcarved deer even though it feels like something that i am wouldn't normally be into, and i can't exactly picture it anywhere in my home.
ok! all this object lust is making me feel a little dirty! off to play some candyland with my little. hope you are having a great tuesday!
