brandie asked me if there is a pattern that i used for my knit wreaths. i told her no, i just winged it, but now i am thinking that perhaps there is such a pattern out there somewhere. my recipe involved simply knitting tubes in the round. i cast on somewhere between 12 to 16 stitches for each wreath, and i added some seed stitch or some other very basic knit/purl combo here and there for texture.
once i had guestimated that the tube was long enough, i stuffed with polyfil or wool, seamed the ends together, then embellished with felt, buttons and ribbon. easy! i love that these wreaths can be as big or as teeny as you want them to be, and as plain or as fancy as your heart desires. so many possibilities! also, as a said in my last post, they are excellent user uppers of small amounts of yarn. i also think that they look fairly sweet on the tree!

if you look carefully at the lower part of that photo, you be able to see the coil yarn garland on our tree. i swear, i had no idea that amanda has also been busy constructing her own handspun garland! so lovely, and such a wonderful use for my yarn!
