i have been trying to get this done for a few weeks now, but one thing after another has gotten in my way. (and by one thing after another, i mostly mean my own slackerly-ness.)
if you'd like, you can click on any of the images below to get an up close and personal look any of the yarns.

Silver Elm, 6 ounces, 166 yards, merino/silk

Fish Fins, 4.3 ounces, 42 yards, falklands, silk carrier rods, locks, angelina

it was 75 degrees today in portland, maine! what the hell?
my timing for pulling all the woolly hats and scarves and mittens out (early this morning) was way off.
also, joe and i went to city hall today and voted. (we had to change our address for registration anyway, so it just made sense to do it while we were there.) i have to tell you, it felt really emotional to fill in that circle next to barack obama's name. voting always gives me a bit of a (perhaps nerdy) rush, but this was something more. it might sound a little corny, but i really felt like i was a part of something historical and important and such a long time coming, and it was pretty awesome.
