the shop has been restocked...

...with yarn and some goodies for spinners and my solemn oath to ship very quickly for your holiday enjoyment*.  

i have one learn to spin kit left - they were popular at last night's sale. 

(the sale, by the way, was absolutely delightful. my huge thanks to jen for organizing and hosting, and to all the friendly shoppers who braved the winter cold to stop by!  the whole evening was a genuine pleasure.)

*within 2 business days, max. i am usually able to priority ship on the day of an order.

it's an update

i got up bright and early this morning to try to update my etsy stop before the baby woke up.  i almost got everything done before she opened her eyes!  luckily, she is all smiles in the morning and has been very cooperative. 

i have some hand dyed top for spinners, and some new handspun yarns.  i am also excited to be offering a great discount (30% off!) on some handspun yarns that i'd like to move out of the shop and onto your needles!

ok, the cooperative segment of greta's morning seems to be nearing its end.

new fiber in my shop

i have been attempting to dye a little something here and there.  for the conditions to be just right, the stars must align properly,  the bigger girl must have her nose buried in a book, and the baby girl has to napping, all on her own.  when it all happens, it's great, and i am thrilled to be back at it, even if it's just a little here and there.  i have added a few new squish-i-licious merino braids to my etsy store, and i'm hoping to add more soon as time permits.

a shop update

just a quick note here to let you know that i have stocked up my etsy store with some lovely new handspun yarns.



also, daylight savings  tomorrow!  hurray!  i am starting to think that maybe, just maybe, spring is truly on its way.  i can't wait to show my baby girl her first blade of grass.

super quick drive-by post to say hi and to let you know that i updated my etsy shop this morning.
probably the last shop update before baby, but who knows!  i have more that i am working on (with season 4 of proj run) so i am going to try add things here and there.

finally, a shop update

i have been trying to get this done for a few weeks now, but one thing after another has gotten in my way. (and by one thing after another, i mostly mean my own slackerly-ness.)

it was 75 degrees today in portland, maine!  what the hell? 
my timing for pulling all the woolly hats and scarves and mittens out (early this morning) was way off.

also, joe and i went to city hall today and voted.  (we had to change our address for registration anyway, so it just made sense to do it while we were there.) i have to tell you, it felt really emotional to fill in that circle next to barack obama's name.   voting always gives me a bit of a (perhaps nerdy) rush, but this was something more.  it might sound a little corny, but i really felt like i was a part of something historical and important and such a long time coming, and it was pretty awesome.

i did it!

i actually managed to get 29 skeins of yarn all up on my site, and had a busy family weekend to boot.

that's a lot of yarn, my friends. i think that there's a little something there for everyone. you can click on the picture to see everything.

So ready.
It's still gray and chilly and not feeling very springy at all here in Maine.
