i have noticed that i am raising a collector. she is an awful lot like me that way. during this time of year, neither one of us can go for a walk without coming home with pockets full of rocks or sea glass, or fists full of sticks or wildflowers. these are the things that i found at the bottom of natasha's beach bag, monday night, with a nod to jen, who posted some similar beach treasures yesterday:
this same bowl now holds a sort of heart wrenching little pile of dirty blond small-girl-curls, but that's a whole other story.
i'll just say that natasha's hair is a lot shorter today than it was yesterday.
i love it; she's devastated.
this is a poor photo, but here is the wrap-around skirt matcher of a yarn, which i decided to ply:
you must trust me when i tell you that it's far prettier in person. or in better photos.
today is hot and sticky, which i secretly love but try not to gloat about because i have noticed that this kind of weather tends to make a lot of people miserable. i'm picking natasha up from beach camp and then we have plans to hit the farmer's market.
i am thinking that a trip to the wading pools might be in order as well.
hope you are having a super wednesday!
i think i want that yarn. really - will you please sell it to me? the colors are so perfect for a project i want to do.
