i think i can safely say that i have moved out of summer mode. embracing fall has been a gradual process this year. natasha chose to return to school. we picked apples. pies were made, and thanks to my friend abbey's inspiration, a large quantity of applesauce now sits in my freezer. we welcomed the harvest moon. halloween costumes are being planned (with lots of fun research.) but most importantly, we have been to the fair. fall can't really feel like fall for me without it.
i thought i'd bring you a little fiber-centric tour from the fair grounds:
i loved this little lock-y beauty.
greta seriously LOVED the animals this year.
i was enamored with this woman's sweater! i wish i had asked her about it.
intriguing knitting project in the spinners' tent.
and, lastly, the glory that was the fleece tent. i walked out of here empty handed but with some serious longing. (the alpacas in particular gave me pause, but i couldn't justify it. next year!)
